Founded in response to the growing need for high-end, scalable engineering, IO Datalabs began as a specialized internal team before expanding outward. We realized that companies needed more than just code — they needed digital curation.

IO Datalabs was founded in 2021 in Calgary, Alberta, by engineers who had spent years watching enterprise clients struggle with the same pattern: agencies that could design but not build, dev shops that could build but not architect, and consulting firms that produced slide decks instead of working software.

We started as a focused team of four, taking on complex fintech and automotive projects that larger firms had quoted 6+ month timelines for. By shipping production-ready platforms in 12-16 weeks, we earned the referrals that fuel our growth today.

Now a team of 15+ across North America, we remain hands-on and engineering-led. Every project is staffed with senior engineers — we don't do bait-and-switch with junior resources. Our clients work directly with the people who write the code.

With 10+ years of experience in cloud-native architecture and platform engineering, Aman leads IO Datalabs' technical strategy and client relationships. Previously built and scaled engineering teams at two fintech startups, specializing in high-throughput data platforms and AWS infrastructure.

Expert in scalable distributed systems and agile delivery.

Arun brings 12+ years of experience designing distributed systems that handle millions of transactions daily. Before IO Datalabs, he led backend engineering at an automotive SaaS company, where he architected the real-time telemetry platform that processed data from 50,000+ connected vehicles.
